Welcome!
The Master Coaching Practicum builds on your initial training in the use of the personal business or service modeling process. We will examine the different stages of longer coaching engagements, and there will be opportunities to explore personal model building blocks and the insights their elements can produce as well as exercises to practice techniques with colleagues. Learning and experimentation will extend to at-home sessions with a client of your choosing from your current practice or circle of colleagues.

Finally, you will participate in two private one-on-one sessions with master coach Bruce Hazen, where you can test your skills and/or receive expert advice on any aspect of coaching.

Here is the Practicum schedule:

Group Session 1:  Group session led by Bruce
Peer Session 2:  Pair session with Peer Partner (to be assigned)
Group Session 3:  Group session led by Bruce
Peer Session 4:  Pair session with Peer Partner
Group Session 5:  Group session led by Bruce
Peer Session 6:  Pair session with Peer Partner
Private Session 7:  One-on-one private session with Bruce (to be arranged offline by each participant)
Private Session 8:  One-on-one private session with Bruce (to be arranged offline by each participant)

Note that you will need to work with a current client or volunteer throughout the course of the Practicum (this client or volunteer is different from the Peer Partner with whom you will work from our group of Practicum colleagues). Read more about this in the Prework module and start thinking now about good candidates for your private client.

Finally, our Practicum uses a “flipped classroom” model whereby participants are expected to study and master materials BEFORE live sessions. Live sessions are used for PRACTICE rather than for imparting new information. Be sure to complete the Prework module and to read through the Group Session 1 module BEFORE participating in Group Session 1.
