Certified Practitioner Course Syllabus
The Certified Practitioner course uses a ”flipped classroom” model whereby participants self-study/prepare first, then focus on practicing new skills during the live sessions. Therefore it is essential that you complete all pre-work and prepare any required assignments BEFORE a Live Session. The assignment number indicates for which Live Session that assignment is essential. For example, “Assignment 2a” must be completed BEFORE participating in Live Session 2.
Be sure to finish the entire Welcome & Orientation section BEFORE participating in Live Session 0. Otherwise, you may find yourself slowing down your colleagues and struggling to benefit from the group exercises.
Here is the complete course syllabus with all modules and assignments:
Welcome & Orientation Prework (prior to all Live Sessions)
This is essential pre-work that must be completed before any of the live training sessions. In addition to background material on the Business Model Canvas, it provides useful overviews and tutorials on how to use Zoom and Jamboard, two tools required to participate successfully in the course (Assignment 0 contains video tutorials on how to use ScreenCast-o-Matic).
